What is the purpose of the Work-Based Learning Committee?
The Work-Based Learning Committee determines and communicates strategies and creates links between industry and education, and coordinates and promotes programs that connect teachers to business. Volunteers plan events and forge connections between business and education.

Who are the committee volunteers?  
The committee is made up of local business people from each major industry, as well as faculty from area schools.

What do participants say they enjoy most about serving on the committee?
Volunteer enjoy exploring new and innovative ways to connect businesses to education in a way that is beneficial to both parties.

What project is the committee currently working on?
The committee is currently exploring opportunities to partner local elementary schools with businesses to give employees opportunities to tutor, share recess, mentor and read.

What are the goals for this year?
The committee would like to implement 2 new business/education partnerships and develop a program to recognize those partnerships.
