District 742 Community Schools, including the City of St. Cloud and nearby communities, have a total enrollment of approximately 12,000 K-12 students. District 742 also provides life-long learning for persons of all ages with over 1,500 classes offered annually through its Community Education program.
Sauk Rapids-Rice Independent School District 47 has an enrollment of over 3,100 students in grades K-12. Community Education for District 47 serves the Sauk Rapids-Rice area by providing courses based on community needs and using available school resources. Sartell-St.Stephen Independent School DIstrict #742 has an enrollment of approximately 2,200 students. The Private School Alternative The Catholic parishes in the St. Cloud area operate schools for pre-school through high school, with the Catholic school communities open to all families in the St. Cloud area. Protestant schools in the St. Cloud area focus on basic skills as well as religion. Most programs are inter-denominational. The St. Cloud Regency Beauty Academy is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences and is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Cosmetology Unit. Students learn hair, skin, and nail care by providing supervised services through 72 modern work stations. St. Cloud Hospital Schools of Medical Technology and X-ray TechnologyIn conjunction with St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud Hospital School of Medical Technology offers a 4-year degree program, with graduates eligible to complete the national certification examination for employment as certified medical technologists. Clinical internships at St. Cloud Hospital are served by students with two or more years of undergraduate course work in the biological sciences. The School of X-ray Technology is a 24 month accredited program, with all classes and clinical work conducted by the faculty, technologists, and radiologists of the Imaging Services Department at St. Cloud Hospital.
